Rep On - Android App
I ideated, designed, & coded this app as my final project for my Android class. The app connects you to your representatives by zip code and displays their contact info, social media, and what bills they've recently voted on (retrieved from multiple databases). From there it allows you to send them an email based on your opinion of their voting decision.
Java (Android Studio)
Dance and Code
This program visualizes both movement and music. Bursts of color appear on screen based on the motion detected by the video camera, the size of the particles is dependent on the loudness of the music, and the color is dependent on the pitch.
Motion Design Quiz
Because motion design is a strong interest of mine, I took this project as an opportunity to explore different motion design aesthetics. This quiz takes you through several motion UI examples and determines your personal aesthetic based on your choices.
Arduino Motion Visualizer
Using an Arduino, I coded an input/output mechanism using an accelerometer and LED light ring. The axis of which the Arduino is rotating determines the color, while the speed of the movement determines the speed of the light shifting.
For this project, my partner and I created a series of information visualizations to tell a story about North Korean refugees. This interactive map was one element I created to visualize the migration pattern of North Korean refugees over time.
Dance Photography Simulator
As a dance photographer myself, I created this project as an interactive game that challenges a user's timing when it comes to dance photography, demonstrating its difficulty.
